About
One person, and a product that already ran.
Crestnote is built and run by one person, through a company in Bucharest. That is the whole of it, and everything below is written so you can check it.
Where it came from
It is a second version, not a first draft.
This product started life inside a marketplace, as the social suite that ran that marketplace’s own accounts. It published, it collected, it drafted, and it did all of that in production for years, for one demanding customer who was also the person maintaining it. About thirty-two thousand lines of it.
That is an unusual place to start, and it decided almost everything about what this is. Every awkward rule a platform has, every way a token expires, every silent failure that costs you a week of history: all of it was already discovered, at somebody’s expense, before a line of the multi-tenant version was written. The scheduler is not the interesting part of this product, and the reason it is boring is that it has already been wrong in every way it can be.
What that suite could not do was watch anybody else. It knew everything about one brand’s own performance and nothing about the market around it, which is the gap this version was built to close.
Why
Publishing is solved. Knowing what to publish is not.
There are excellent schedulers, several of them free. There are excellent competitor analytics tools, most of them priced for an agency and none of them able to publish anything. A person running social media for a small brand ends up with a tab of each and does the joining in their head, on a Monday, when they have twenty minutes.
The join is the product. A named competitor breaks out, the software notices, and what comes out the other end is a draft in your queue at a time your audience is actually awake. Everything else here exists to make that one move possible: the connections, the collectors, the calendar, the library.
It is deliberately priced where a person paying with their own card can say yes, and deliberately not sold with a demo call.
Promises
What this will not do.
Four constraints, each one already enforced by something in the software. A promise nothing enforces is a promise that quietly stops being true.
Your data is never pooled
No benchmark, no industry average, no "brands like yours post at 6pm" built out of what other customers do. Not aggregated, not anonymised, not derived. The data processing agreement carries this as a written term, and Meta’s own platform terms require the same of anybody holding their data.
Nothing is scraped
Every competitor figure comes from an interface the network publishes and documents, read with the connection you authorised, inside the rate limits they set. That is a narrower product than a scraper would be, and it is the version that cannot be switched off by a platform one Tuesday morning.
The signal informs, it does not copy
The product tells you a rival’s post broke out and what carried it. It will not hand you their caption to republish, because Instagram and TikTok both penalise that and the penalty lands on your account. The acceptable use policy says so in a section of its own.
Leaving is as easy as arriving
Cancel from inside the product, in the same number of clicks it took to subscribe. No retention call, no support ticket, no form that only exists to slow you down. Your workspace drops to the free plan and stays open, so nothing you made disappears while you decide.
The business
Who you are actually buying from.
The operator is DEVIORA S.R.L., a limited liability company registered in Romania, of Calea Șerban Vodă 282, Sector 4, București 040221. Tax identification number (CUI) 55471145, trade register number J2026051139003, share capital 500 lei. Telephone +40 725 680 625.
The same details are on the privacy policy and the data processing agreement, because a company whose about page and whose legal documents name different entities is telling you something.
There is no funding round to announce, no team page and no headcount. When any of that changes, it appears here and on the changelog. There will be no press release.
